Feather Bookmark - Sidney Ann Field

Chris and I decided early on that we would have very few flowers at the wedding. We’re not really flower people and the venue already has this great urban astro turf motif. When I started thinking about bouquets, I knew I still wanted one I just didn’t want any flowers in it.

I scoured Etsy and searched through posts on OffBeat Bride looking to be inspired, since both are great sources for unconventional solutions to bouquets and boutonnieres. Then I remembered my crafty, designer friend, Sidney Ann Field. I like to call her Sid and she is probably the craftiest person I know (next to Chris). I am constantly blown away by her ability to make beautiful things, with any materials, especially feathers. I gave Sid some links to photos of ideas I liked, wedding colors, and the words “vintage” and “rustic.” I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us and will post some sneak peeks when I can. Or, you just might have to wait until the wedding to see.
